Campbell Irvine Direct Travel Insurance automatically provides cover for trekking on recognised routes up to 7,000m altitudes, including the Inca Trail, Kilimanjaro, and Everest Base Camp.
The cover includes all necessary transportation costs from a known and agreed location to take an insured person to the nearest appropriate medical facility by air ambulance or helicopter if deemed medically necessary and authorised by the 24 hour overseas medical emergency assistance providers.
Please note for all treks: in addition to the requirement to trek on recognised routes, cover is subject to being in possession of working communications/portable phone. Additionally, when trekking between 5,000m and 7,000m you must be accompanied by a qualified guide.
Cover is excluded whilst trekking against local authority advice.
