    Please contact Campbell Irvine if you will be overlanding on a motorcycle as motorcycle overlanding may incur an additional premium.

    SAFARI TRAVEL

    If you wish to partake in a safari whilst travelling outside your normal country of residence, the Campbell Irvine Direct Travel Insurance automatically provides cover for this, whether it be in a vehicle, walking/trekking, or on horseback (please note that this also applies to Gorilla Trekking).

    SCUBA DIVING

    Campbell Irvine Direct Travel Insurance provides cover for persons participating in recreational scuba diving to a maximum depth of 40 metres. Please note that cover is excluded if the insured person will be solo diving or entering shipwrecks/caves. Cover also extends to include marine based conservation project work.

    TREKKING

    Campbell Irvine Direct Travel Insurance automatically provides cover for trekking on recognised routes up to 7000m altitudes, including the Inca Trail, Kilimanjaro, and Everest Base Camp.

    The cover includes all necessary transportation costs from a known and agreed location to take an insured person to the nearest appropriate medical facility by air ambulance or helicopter if deemed medically necessary and authorised by the 24 hour overseas medical emergency assistance providers.

    Please note for all treks: in addition to the requirement to trek on recognised routes, cover is subject to being in possession of working communications/portable phone. Additionally, when trekking between 5000m and 7000m you must be accompanied by a qualified guide.

    Cover is excluded whilst trekking against local authority advice.

    VOLUNTEER/COMMUNITY/CONSERVATION WORK

    The Campbell Irvine Direct Travel Insurance policy provides cover for persons who wish to participate in Community, Conservation or Volunteer project work whilst travelling outside their normal country of residence. This includes educating children and helping in the construction of schools. Please note that cover excludes any hazardous manual work i.e. operating heavy machinery or climbing scaffolding.

  • White/Black Water Rafting or Canoeing
    WHITE/BLACK WATER RAFTING/CANOEING

    White water rafting and Black water rafting is covered under the Campbell Irvine Direct Travel Insurance policy and is not subject to any grade restrictions provided that the activity is arrange through an organised company and not undertaken in either a competitive or professional capacity. This also applies to Canoeing, Kayaking and Hydro Speeding.

    Please contact us if you would like to arrange cover for the above activities when booked independently of a UK registered tour operator as we may provide cover for an additional premium.

NOTE: No Personal Liability cover (Section A4) if using any mechanically propelled vehicle such as a motorcycle, jet-ski or boat, e-bike/scooter etc, you will need to ensure that there separate motor/marine insurance is in place from the company the client is hiring from.

ACTIVITIES INCLUDED UNDER WINTER SPORTS PREMIUM

Down Hill Skiing, Dry Skiing, Heli-Skiing, Ice Hockey, Kite Skiing / Snowboarding, Ski Boarding, Snowmobile Driving / Skidooing.

Please note: All winter sports activities are insured if the client is using a recognised Piste. All 'Off Piste' winter sports activities will only be insured if a client is with a qualified instructor or in a group of not less than 3 persons in possession of working communications or portable telephones.
